Game Day for Denver RivALZ is on June 26th, 2022 at The Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Organize practice, create team plays, assign positions, etc. Maintain the equipment (footballs, flags, cones) that has been donated by the Alzheimer’s Association. Work closely with captains to ensure all players are aware of the rules. Partner with Captains to secure practice dates and locations so that this information can be communicated during recruitment. Plan a coaches meeting prior to the first practice to ensure all coaches understand the rules and are prepared for the first practice. Reiterate the importance of being respectful of leadership and referees during the game. This position will help boost leadership, management, sportsmanship, field logistics, fundraising, football coaching, communication and marketing skills while helping in the Community. Create a fun atmosphere (especially for rookies). Set fundraising examples for other coaches, and participate in all fundraising events hosted by Denver RivALZ. Maintain regular communication with the Vice-Chairs and Co-Captains. Most importantly, don’t forget WHY we raise money for this great organization. Always represent the Greater Denver and Colorado Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association with integrity. Ensure all coaches treat all associated with the organization with respect.
