  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 3 people are interested

Sickle Cell Medical Advocacy Inc. is a start up nonprofit doing great work in the community. We train motivated members within the community to become Medical Advocates who will then help patients with Sickle Cell disease when they go to the emergency room or the hospital, where these patients often get poor care.

We need help in the following areas, and you will receive training on how to do so:

-answering patients when they contact us on our website.

-Getting patients registered with us by sending them the forms

-setting up a zoom meeting to do 30 minute new patient introduction

-Patients will need to be connected with an advocate, so you will contact advocates to connect them with patients

-patients will be sent reminders for certain classes we have for them.

-create a contact list to easily contact the patient by mass email
-for those who want to be trained as an advocate, they must also be sent forms to sign as well

-A mailing list of all those interested in being an advocate needs to be made

-reminders for classes will be sent to them as well

These responsibilities don’t all happen daily but you need to do these things when they come up.
