Safe Harbor is expanding!!

Safe Harbor is a nonprofit organization that provides shelter, supportive services, and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We also provide education, awareness, and resources to our community.

We are excited to announce that we will be opening our new Lifeline and Prevention Center this year, in May!
With our new center comes new volunteer opportunity's and ways to give back to your community! Volunteering at Safe Harbor is an opportunity to build or develop your skill set. Our volunteers receive 40-hours of training! During your time at Safe Harbor you will establish connections with our professional staff and many other committed volunteers, which will help develop your connections in your community.
Studies have shown that people who volunteer their time and services are happier than those who don’t. Build a happier life and brighter future for you, your community, and violence survivors.

As a Safe Harbor volunteer you will ensure essential services to women, children, and men who are survivors of domestic violence of sexual assault. Your services can help these individuals rebuild their lives.
We are currently looking for volunteer's to help in our Lifeline and Prevention Center.
Lifeline and Prevention Center Volunteers provide assistance at the center by answering calls, assisting with administrative tasks, working on special projects, and greeting clients coming to the center.
If you feel like this is something that will work for you and you want to be a part of the solution please contact us.

Mission Statement

Safe Harbor, a non-profit organization, provides shelter, supportive services and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as education, awareness and resources to our community.

Description

Safe Harbor Crisis Center is the first and ONLY domestic violence and rape crisis center in Davis County, UT. Safe Harbor Crisis Center opened its doors in 1997 and served more than 300 adults and children in the first year of operation. Since then our services continued to expand to meet survivor and community needs. Our free comprehensive, client-centered services now include: Emergency Protective Shelter; Domestic Violence Outreach Services; Diversity Program; Children’s Services; 24-Hour Crisis Response; Transitional Housing; Sexual Assault Services; Protective Order Assistance; and Community Outreach and Education. Plus, in 2015 we launched an Economic Empowerment Program helps low-income domestic violence survivors with dependent children with job preparedness and work retention. We could not function without volunteers, who donated over 5,000 hours in the last year. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities and hope you will join our team in ending violence in the community.
