We are looking for online volunteer tutors. Our tutors can range from high school age to retired individuals. No previous experience is necessary, but it is helpful in navigating the tutoring system and working with children and their parents. We offer an onboarding orientation and also lots of resources tutors can use with their students. Our students range from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Spanish speaking tutors are in high demand.

We would like for you to make a commitment to work with one student, one day a week for an hour. We'd love for you to continue working with the student for four to six months, longer if you like. We would like for tutors to focus on Math and Reading. However, some students needs may vary.

Mission Statement

Our Mission To design, curate, and execute enrichment programs and community outreach to enhance the lives of fostered, adopted, and at-risk children.

Description

We have developed 3 core programming initiatives designed to empower children, encourage and develop their social skills. We host 2 annual events to support communities, "Boys to Men" and "Princess for A Day" which are designed to celebrate children and support self-worth. We also provide virtual tutoring and mentorship throughout the year via our "Tutoring for Success" Program and our "Teach Me How To" Series. We currently provide free virtual tutoring to over 300 children. These programs enforce the core values of responsibility, respect, determination and resilience. It is our goal that through these programs, we will help to provide life changing information and experiences that help offset the often challenging life experiences that these children have faced so early in their lives.
