Volunteer with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Groton!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet clients courteously.
  • Manage incoming phone calls and answer general questions.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Assist clients in determining paperwork needed.
  • Check clients in for appointments.
  • Assist clients with interest-free loans, grants, budget counseling and referrals.
  • Must be able to commit to at least one four-hour shift and up to 16 hours per week.

The following shifts are currently available:
Mondays: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Tuesdays: 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Thursdays: 12:00 pm - 4:00pm
Fridays: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm,12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

We can be flexible to accommodate your schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm if the shifts don't exactly meet your availability.


Must have military, dependent or military retiree ID for base access. We cannot provide volunteers with sponsorship.

2 Shifts

  • 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Monday and Friday shifts are available.
  • 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM
    Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts are available.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Minimum of 4 hours per week; 16 hours max. We are flexible to work a 4 hour shift between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, M-F. Commit to the team for a minimum of 3 months.
  • Must have own military base access. We do not provide volunteers with sponsorship.
