This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Disaster Cycle Services department. This opportunity requires participation in in-person activities and/or performing work in a Red Cross facility.

The Logistics and Fulfillment Center (Douglasville, GA), is at the heart of all Disaster Relief Operations (DRO)s nationally. The Center supplies the operation with technology, materials, and technical guidance. Recertifying equipment and shipping equipment is at the core of the need to ensuring LFC is prepared to deliver its mission successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist LFC team in ensuring we have technology on shelf to ship out. This includes cell phone, printer, and laptop recertification of wiping phones, updating devices, kitting resources, and building kits to safely house the asset, etc.
• Ability to be adaptable in an environment where shipping orders becomes an instantaneous and responsive requirement.
• Assist our internal team with technical input that could streamline overly complicated processes • Assist with inventory and shipping. This will require to load, and unload trucks on occasion.

Required:

• Willingness to comply with Red Cross COVID-19 policies.
• Able to report in person for volunteer shifts at 9851 Commerce Way- Room #111, Douglasville, GA
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to work in concrete floor, stand, stoop as needed.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work with outside vendors, partners, and clients.
• Reliable with attendance and commitment.

Preferred:

• Disaster Services Technology (DST) certified
