Do you knit or crochet? Would you consider donating your handmade items to hospice patients? Cadence Hospice, a Traditions Health company, provides hospice services to patients all across Orange County and parts of LA County, San Bernardino County and the Inland Empire. Hospice patients are those who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and have a life expectancy of 6 months or less. Volunteer created items such as blankets and shawls would go a long way in providing warmth, comfort and a little extra love during this difficult time in their lives. For those who can read crochet patterns, we would love to collaborate with you in making some Alzheimer's/Dementia specific items.

Please respond to this ad if you'd like to make a donation of handmade items. Donations can be accepted in person or mailed in. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to respond here and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for sharing your time, talents and efforts!

Description

Hospice care is about living! When a patient is diagnosed with a life limiting illness, the patient and family may become overwhelmed with planning, emotions, questions, and fear. The Traditions Health hospice team provides support and guidance to patients and their families to address each of these needs throughout their end of life journey. We walk with the patient and their loved ones each step of the way, providing the education and care they need to have the best quality of life possible.

Our team is passionate about building relationships with our patients and their loved ones so that we know what matters most to them. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
