Cadence Hospice, a Traditions Health company is searching who has even 1 hour a week/month to visit with patients for socialization and companionship. Patients may live in their own home or care facility. We serve all of Orange County, parts of LA county, San Bernardino County and the Inland Empire. Our main office is located in the city of Orange. Hospice patients are often lonely and would benefit from having a volunteer visit. Hospice volunteering is flexible. We ask that you visit with your patient at least 1 x month but always encourage more visits if your schedule allows. Hospice patients are adults who have been diagnosed with a life limiting illness and have a life expectancy of 6 months or less to live. Hospice volunteers do not provide any hand on medical care. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
