One of NGA's most important projects is Women in Mutual Support (WIMS) - a women-only mutual coaching community. Women who participate in WIMS learn coaching skills which they can use to help family, friends, and neighbours to more effectively identify and achieve their life and work goals. The participants themselves gain this same benefit through mutual coaching as they also create a community of women connected through strands of mutual support.

Activities
Volunteers are needed to lead, manage, and support sessions. They may also play a role in finding and/or providing additional training and support to help participants meet the goals they have clarified through mutual coaching.

Timing
The team holds weekly 30 minute meetings on Monday nights and in-person WIMS sessions are held fortnightly Tuesday evenings. You do not have to be able to attend all of the meetings or sessions. The project will be expanding to include online sessions and expand geographically in autumn 2023.

Skills
Among the skills that will be helpful for WIMS volunteers are: strong empathy, good communication skills, an open mind to difference, dependability, and readiness to learn both on your own and through training.
