Volunteer(s) will serve as Camp Host(s) for the very popular and culturally significant Panther Meadow Campground on the Mount Shasta Ranger District of the Shasta McCloud Management Unit. This campground attracts a colorful array of visitors. The overall management goal is to make this campground a quiet, peaceful and safe place for families, kids and spiritual seekers alike.
Host duties include, but are not limited to: Providing assistance to visitors, cleaning bathrooms, minor maintenance, keeping track of site occupancy, enforcing the site use limit, and relaying potential problems to Forest Service staff.
Host(s) are encouraged to become familiar with back country hiking routes, Wilderness rules, hiking etiquette, and the culturally significant Native American value of the Panther/Mount Shasta area.
