"Pricer" Job Description
Price new and used merchandise received from donors that have been sorted. Pricers may be designated according to merchandise sorted. For example: Clothes Pricer, Accessories Pricer, Jewelry Pricer, Housewares Pricer or other merchandise designations as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use Pricer Guidelines according to the merchandise category examples listed.
Monitor the sales floor for comparable items to achieve consistency in pricing.
Keep the pricing area clean and organized.
Attend quarterly meetings for updates, training and fellowship.
Review daily log for information about events or issues in the local shop.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Awareness of current fashions, styles and labels, collectibles, antiques, etc., in their merchandise category.
Knowledge of current retail prices.
Ability to work independently or with a partner.
Punctual and consistent in attendance.
Willing to learn the agency mission, programs and goals.
Ability to use pricing equipment resulting in repetitive hand movement.
JOB REQIUREMENTS:
Be able to work (4) four hours a week.
Light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible amount of force constantly o move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

The AmeriCorps RSVP is the nation's largest network for volunteers age 55 and older. This program is sponsored by Lutheran Community Services Northwest. The growing segment of our older population is vital to strengthening our communities through their interest in helping others. As an RSVP volunteer, you are strengthening the positive impact people 55 and over have in our communities. Our focus is to incorporate meaningful volunteer opportunities that provide purpose and a way to give back to the community.
RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers as it matches their personal interests with opportunities to serve in their communities.
Current RSVP volunteer positions include local food banks, congregate meal sites, non-profit thrift stores (shopping assistants, sorters, warehouse assistant, furniture assemblers in a fully equipped build shop), reading/enrichment/tutoring/ mentorship groups, museums, and administrative positions throughout the Greater Tacoma, Puyallup, Graham, Lakewood and Gig Harbor Peninsula.
