Vernon Donation Pick Up Driver
Initiative: Beyond the Basics
Impact area: Basic Needs (food, clothing, housing)
Location(s): Hartford, CT
Hours: Tuesday afternoons or Wednesday mornings
Desired level of commitment: Weekly
Duration: Year-round
Age requirement: 18+
Tasks may include:
- Picking up a large donation of food from Vernon
- Dropping off the donation to a food pantry in Wallingford
- Lifting up 25-30-pound boxes
- A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have a chance to register if you haven’t already)
- Willing to attend an orientation prior to volunteering
- Willing to submit a background check
- Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule
- Willing to use own vehicle with the capacity to hold 50 banana boxes (10"x16"x20")
