Do you enjoy the Arts and want to inspire children to develop their artistic talents?

Objective: To supervise and facilitate arts activities with children ages 6 and older in a group setting

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with serving the children dinner and monitoring their behavior and interaction during dinner
  2. Assist the teacher in keeping kids engaged in the activities- dance, drama, band, and chorus
  3. Lead an activity, if desired
  4. Assist with the set up and clean up of program areas


Qualifications:

  1. At least 13 years old
  2. Experience working with children desirable but not essential
  3. Interest in the Arts
  4. Dependable, responsible, and mature
  5. Friendly and fun-loving
  6. Good role model


Intake and Training:

  1. Complete a Statement of Volunteers form
  2. Complete The Salvation Army’s clearance process, which includes a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and child abuse training
  3. On-the-job training will be provided on the first day of volunteering


Time Commitment: Every Thursday from 4:45 to 6:45 PM during the school year, as available
