Looking for a fun way to directly assist your community members who are food-insecure? Objective: To assist families and seniors "shop" at the food bank at the Rochester Salvation Army located at 378 Jefferson Street in Rochester, PA Major Responsibilities: Assist families with young children and seniors to select and carry food items Take packed bags and boxes to clients’ vehicles, if comfortable Keep the food bank clean and tidy Qualifications: Positive, friendly attitude in assisting clients Able to work in cooperation with others Dependable Intake and Training: Complete a Statement of Volunteers form Complete The Salvation Army’s clearance process, which includes a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and child abuse training On-the-job training will be provided on the first day of volunteering Time Commitment: 9:30 AM to Noon every Tuesday and Thursday, as available Supervision: By Commanding Officers Chris and Mary Kay Mackneer
