At Manatee Elementary, A Community Partnership School 100% of students are considered economically disadvantaged. There are currently 550 students. Children often come to school hungry, with ill-fitting shoes and emotionally drained from the circumstances happening at home, impacting their ability to learn, grow and achieve.

Community Partnership Schools help lift heavy burdens so students can succeed; whether it be a new pair of shoes, tutoring in math, connecting them with a health care partner or giving them a bag of groceries to take home on the weekend, we bring services, programs and supports where it is most convenient for them - right at the school!

By donating a new pair of shoes, you are directly removing a barrier to education. By giving a child the opportunity to go to school with proper footwear, we are giving them an opportunity to succeed inside the classroom and beyond.

We are asking that you support by hosting your own shoe drive for us. We currently need sizes 13 - size 6 shoes. Once you have your donation ready you can email Kara.Kerlin@chsfl.org.
