Do you have a love of history? Would you like to share the history and beauty of the South with visitors from all over the world? Interested in working with a vibrant team of professionals? The Trails & Rails (T&R) program of the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument needs you!

Trails & Rails volunteers provide interpretive narrations on board Amtrak’s City of New Orleans between Jackson, MS and Hammond, LA. Our season runs 3 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) from the 2nd weekend in June until the first week in November.

Activities include: Conservation Education;Tour Guide/Interpretation;Visitor Information
