The Alzheimer's Association of Central/Western VA is getting ready for an exciting fourth annual Pickleball Event in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday, May 31st. Volunteers are needed in advance and during the event; no pickleball experience necessary!

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Event planning and promotion
  • Business partnership acquisition
  • In-kind gift management
  • Event day set up & clean up

Proceeds from this event are going directly to the Alzheimer's Association of Central and Western Virginia through The Longest Day Campaign. The Longest Day is a signature fundraising campaign of the Association that helps to fund local Alzheimer's care, support, and research.

Description

The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
