Pickleball Outreach Volunteer

No prior pickleball experience needed! Just passion to fight Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association of Southeastern Virginia is looking for local volunteers to assist with pickleball outreach in the Southeastern Virginia community. This is a remote position with opportunities for in person activity; volunteers would work directly with The Longest Day Manager. The Longest Day is a signature fundraising and awareness campaign of the Alzheimer's Association that helps to fund local Alzheimer's care, support, and research efforts. Through this campaign, participants are able to choose any activity they love, in honor of those they love who have been impacted by Alzheimer's or another form of dementia, and with local staff support turn that activity into a fundraising and awareness opportunity. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing activities in the United States. Help our local chapter bring purpose to this pickleball passion and get involved today! The Longest Day is the day with the most light - the summer solstice. On June 20, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice. Together, they use their creativity and passion to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
