We are looking for an experienced Event coordinator to organize fun and exciting fundraising events. You will be responsible for every aspect of an event, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards.

An event coordinator must be well-organized and competent in event planning. Communication skills and attention to detail will set apart the best among the candidates. Add a shot of enthusiasm and passion for the job and you’ll be our ideal candidate.

The goal is to organize unforgettable events that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of fundraising objectives.

This is a volunteer position with an expected average number of hours weekly as 10. We have an opening for 3 event coordinators who will be responsible for working with the entire team.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with the Special Events Board member and Executive Director to plan and organize a minimum of 6 fundraising events annually.
• Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for every event.
• Develop a budget for each event based on fundraising goals.
• Plan event with attention to financial and time commitments while staying within the event budget.
• Book venues and research vendors to choose the best combination of quality and cost.
• Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms.
• Manage all event operations (set up, tear down, invitations, etc)
• Do final checks the day of the event.
• Oversee event happenings and respond to problems quickly.
• Evaluate the events success and submit reports to the Executive Director and CVHR Board of Directors
• Develop content for event materials and work with graphic designers to produce quality advertising and marketing.
