ORGANIZATION: HEBNI NUTRITION CONSULTANTS INC

Objective:

  • To pack balanced meals prepared for children and senior citezens into insulated bags.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that bowls are filled up with prepared meals
  • Ensure that lids on the bows are secure before packing in insulated bags
  • Pack 36-42 meals per insulated bag depending on capacity

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in an assembly line fashion
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Effective communication skills

Time commitment:

  • This volunteer position is sporadic, and usually occurs Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM, or Thursday evenings, from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm

Training

  • There will be a guide sent out that explains the assembly line, as well as in-person training upon arrival from the volunteer coordinator.

Additional requirements:

  • Volunteers are required to commute to the NRC to be able to volunteer in this position.

HEBNI's committed to reducing health discrepancies among high-risk minority populations by providing nutrition-related strategies to decrease, manage, and delay chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, obesity, and hypertension.
