Objective:
- To pack balanced meals prepared for children and senior citezens into insulated bags.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that bowls are filled up with prepared meals
- Ensure that lids on the bows are secure before packing in insulated bags
- Pack 36-42 meals per insulated bag depending on capacity
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in an assembly line fashion
- Ability to work as a team
- Effective communication skills
Time commitment:
- This volunteer position is sporadic, and usually occurs Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM, or Thursday evenings, from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm
Training
- There will be a guide sent out that explains the assembly line, as well as in-person training upon arrival from the volunteer coordinator.
Additional requirements:
- Volunteers are required to commute to the NRC to be able to volunteer in this position.

HEBNI'S Nutrition consultants is a community-based not-for-profit agency formed in 1995 to educate high-risk culturally diverse populations about nutrition services to prevent diet-related diseases. HEBNI's committed to reducing health discrepancies among high-risk minority populations by providing nutrition-related strategies to decrease, manage, and delay chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, obesity, and hypertension.
