ORGANIZATION: Mid-Michigan Children's Museum

The MMCM Gallery Docent will work in conjunction with the MMCM staff and volunteers to provide an exceptional learning experience for children, infant to age 10 years, and their families who visit the MMCM.
Museum Docents will:

  • Participate in educational programs when appropriate
  • Provide a safe and hospitable environment for visitors to the museum
  • assist in maintenance procedures that assure a clean and safe experience for children by helping with but not limited to tidying up galleries and birthday party/program rooms
  • Monitor safety and report repairs of individual elements
  • Be able to stand for two hours at a time and must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Assist in guided craft activities
  • May be asked to participate in special event activities or attend outreach events to promote play and learn activities in the community

  • morning / 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
