Currently, 20-30% of foster youth in Santa Clara County identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Child Advocates of the Silicon Valley is looking for volunteers that identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community to help as a mentor and advocate for foster children and youth in Santa Clara County. Advocates will see their youth 3-4 times a month for a few hours each. This is up to an 18-month commitment, as advocates will work with their youth until their case is closed.

After signing up, you will receive an email directing you to a web form. There, you can select a date to attend an information session. Please fill it out; you must sign up for an info session in order to be a child advocate!
