Free Food Collective is a group of abolitionists fighting for food justice in LA. They work by recovering excess food in LA and giving it to people who need it. Currently, they are seeking volunteers to help sort & distribute recovered food to local LA neighbors and unhoused folks living in encampments throughout LA. Volunteers will meet every Sunday from 2:30pm-5:30pm. They will either pick up recovered produce from local farmers' markets, help sort them into grocery bags; or distribute groceries to LA neighbors. Free Food Collective currently serves ~15 different encampments throughout West LA. Sign up here: https://www.turnout.org/vol-opps/free-food-collective-volunteers-needed
