Independent Living Housing (ILH) was first incorporated in 1998 and received its 501 (c) 3 status the following year. The organization is responding to a need that has been unmet by Detroit Public Schools, Detroit Wayne County Mental Health Authority, and the community at large. LH will provide independent living programs such as educational trainings (with coursework in English, math, science, reading, writing, social science, up to a sixth grade level Art, and leadership developmental. We will also provide individual, family, group therapy to promote higher self-esteem

Your Duties and Responsibilities; The Google Ad Grants; attract donors, raise awareness for our organization, recruit volunteers for fundraising, volunteer teachers to teach learning disabled, blogs writers, board of directors, raise funds for volunteers stipends, teacher salaries, program supplies and refreshments, incentives for parents, Marketing efforts to reach the people who need our help. This position required a manual of three hours per week. We would appreciated an Intern for this Volunteer Administrators positions.

Is to provides independent lving program along with safe, decent and afforabled housing for person and famiies with learning disabilities and Behavior Health.

Description

OUR PROGRAM ILH developed the Todays Youth program to enhance the self-esteem and teach life skills to youth and young adults who are learning-disabled and developmentally challenged. Youth with learning disabilities can lead enriched lives when they are in an environment that builds their self-confidence and skills. The self-esteem workshops and after-school tutorials are designed to help youth build positive self-esteem; identify emotional spirals; understand and apply effective conflict resolution; improve their proficiency in reading, writing, math, science, computer and study skills; and prepare them for reading and MEAP testing.
