Help to deliver meals to older adults in need! A friendly face helps to combat isolation as they deliver a meal, fighting food insecurity and social isolation among older adults. Volunteers can help with delivering meals, serving meals at the meal site, working with participants, or help in the kitchen at the meal site. You choose!

RSVP volunteers are eligible for gas mileage reimbursement after driving 71 miles or more in a month. Volunteers also get volunteer liability insurance, excess automobile insurance, and excess medical insurance to, from, and while volunteering.

Assisting seniors, caregivers and persons with disabilities to achieve improved health and greater independence.

Description

The RSVP Volunteer Program invites adults age 55 and over to use their life experience and skills to help older adults and strengthen our community in Sedgwick County. Volunteers give their time to support programming that reduces social isolation among older adults and provide nutritional support, among many other activities and initiatives. RSVP volunteers also improve and enhance the quality of the community organizations they serve. With RSVP, volunteers will receive appreciation gifts, recognition events, and may also qualify for the President's Volunteer Service Award. Active volunteers receive volunteer liability, excess automobile, and excess medical insurance to, from, and while volunteering.
