Do you like to crochet, knit, or sew? RSVP volunteers help to make bags, blankets, sensory blankets, pillows, and beanies to distribute to local schools, special needs schools, DCF, and other community partners that express a need for such items. This can be done in the comfort of your own home. RSVP staff will coordinate with you toward the end of each month to pick-up goods! If you'd rather make and create in a group setting, we can connect you to a group - just reach out! RSVP volunteers receive excess medical, excess auto, and volunteer liability insurance. Volunteers that drive over 71 miles in a month are also eligible to receive gas mileage reimbursement.

Volunteer your time to provide transportation to older adults in need! The Sedgwick County RSVP Transportation Program provides rides to older adults in rural Sedgwick County to medical appointments, social gatherings, shopping, or other such errands. Volunteers do use their own vehicles and are required to keep auto liability greater than or equal to laws governing the State of Kansas. As always, volunteers will be covered by excess automobile insurance and are eligible to receive mileage reimbursement. Our transportation service currently serves individuals in the following locations: Bentley, Cheney, Clearwater, Derby, Mt. Hope, Mulvane, Park City, and Valley Center. RSVP volunteers receive excess medical, excess auto, and volunteer liability insurance. Volunteers that drive over 71 miles in a month are also eligible to receive gas mileage reimbursement.

Check-in guests, serve snacks, help in the dome , or help as an exhibit guide at the Survive the Museum Overnight Experience at Exploration Place! Volunteers are needed on three dates: January 21, February 18, and March 18. Duty time for all three dates will be 6:30 PM- 11:30 PM. There are also ongoing opportunities for volunteering with various museum support roles. RSVP volunteers receive excess medical, excess auto, and volunteer liability insurance. Volunteers that drive over 71 miles in a month are also eligible to receive gas mileage reimbursement.

RSVP is an AmeriCorps Seniors Program that supports volunteers and enhances the volunteer experience. RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) provides volunteers that are 55 and older with excess medical, volunteer liability, and auto insurance to, from, and while volunteering. Volunteers turn in monthly timesheets to show they are still active and are eligible for timesheet drawings to win a prize every month. We support our volunteers through other such activities to show recognition and appreciation! RSVP serves as a hub for volunteer opportunities, partnering with various organizations in and around Sedgwick County. Opportunities include assisting with meal deliveries, supporting various organizations around town with events/programming, sewn/handmade goods for needy populations, tax preparation, helping older adults to manage money, supporting the Red Cross, and serving with the Rural Transportation Program which provides transportation to older adults over 60 in rural parts of Sedgwick County. We have many other opportunities - just call us and we can provide you with a list! If you are already actively volunteering, give us a call and we can let you know if we have an agreement on file with your organization. If you would like to receive some of these benefits and perks of being an RSVP volunteer and we do not currently have an agreement with your organization on file, I would be happy to try to obtain the agreement so that you can join our crew. :)

This is a virtual/remote opportunity for volunteerism. With Compassionate Care Corps, volunteers will be connected with a veteran for 1:1 socialization. Volunteers give a "friendly visit" via phone, tablet, or computer 1-2 times per week for 15-60 minutes, enhancing well-being and quality of life. RSVP volunteers get volunteer liability insurance, excess automobile insurance, and excess medical insurance to and from, while volunteering.
