As part of the Local Leadership Board, connect and engage families impacted by juvenile arthritis (JA) to provide life-changing resources, support and education.

Working with your JA Committee members, ensure that families are supported and engaged through opportunities to connect with each other, take part in educational events, and access other resources designed specifically for the JA community.

  • Plan and promote JA Days, Connect Groups for JA parents, and other local programs and events.
  • As a JA subject matter expert, provide a voice and understanding through events, programs and with other volunteer leaders.
  • Identify, cultivate, and recruit volunteer leaders for key positions for JA programs.
  • Lead the recruitment of JA teams, individuals, and sponsors to financially support key fundraising events.

JA CHAIR QUALIFICATIONS

  • A level of personal connection to Juvenile Arthritis or other Pediatric Rheumatic Diseases
  • A working knowledge of the Arthritis Foundation, and its resources for kids/teens with arthritis and their families
