ORGANIZATION: Engage Estero

Reports To: President

The Meeting Coordinator (MC) supports the president and schedules and manages ECCL monthly membership meetings, Board of Director meetings, and special meetings as needed. Responsible for preparing and scheduling meetings and securing speakers when required, the MC also interacts with the Board of Directors, Executive Management Team, Council Chairpersons, volunteers, external community and business members, and public officials.

Assists the President to:

  • Schedule and arranges Board Meetings
  • Schedule and arrange membership meetings
  • Contact potential speakers for scheduled membership meetings
  • Attend selected meetings
  • Prepare reports as requested
  • Other related tasks

Experience:

  • Previous Meeting Coordinator experience helpful but not required
  • Retired Estero resident preferred
  • Thrive in a do-it-yourself environment

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Proactivity, self-direction, ability to prioritize work, and multi-tasking
  • People skills
  • Computer literacy skills

Estimated Time Commitment: Five to Six hours a month.

The Point of Reference Person for Planning Meetings

The ECCL is the only nonprofit, nonpartisan, nonpolitical, volunteer civic advocacy organization in the Greater Estero area. Our mission is to advocate for meaningful change that maintains and improves the high quality of community life. Our vision is that our contributions ensure the Greater Estero area is the best place to visit, live, work, and play.

We need an organized and seasoned individual to function as a Meeting Coordinator (MC) supported by the president and Executive Management Team. This volunteer position is an excellent opportunity to establish working relationships with ECCL’s Board of Directors, Executive Management Team, ECCL Council Chairpersons, volunteers, external community and business members, and public officials.

The MC is a collaborative partner to the president. This engaging and stimulating position provides counsel and helps the ECCL leadership create appealing, educational, and thought-provoking meetings.
