Mission: Founded in 1998, P.S. I Love You Foundation is a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization specializing in producing and implementing effective Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs for youth in our communities. We deliver 12 week SEL progams taught during school hours by substituting Math or Science once a week for 12 weeks. Our goal is to positively influence youth's attitudes, thoughts, feelings and choices through life skills that develop self regulation, emotional resilience, health and well-being, social development and hope.

Volunteer Role & Responsibilities: The Social Media Manager would be responsible for maintaining a steady online presence and voice for PS I Love You on our Facebook and Instagram accounts, and would be comfortable reaching out to all levels of staff to generate content. The ideal candidate would be passionate about mental health and have an appreciation for the diverse communities we serve. Responsibilities include:

Using Canva to design social media posts

Creating Instagram posts

Managing our Instagram account and engaging the public by commenting on posts, responding to questions, etc.

Creating Facebook posts

Managing our Facebook account and engaging the public by commenting on posts, responding to questions, etc.

Brainstorming campaign ideas

Requirements: Passion for social media, supporting youth, and increasing our outreach. Self-starter comfortable reaching out to all levels of staff to generate content. 1-2 hours per week done remotely on an ongoing basis.
