We all need a little pampering from time-to-time and the nursing home and assisted living residents at the St. Augustine Health Campus are definitely in need of some self-care after the stress and loneliness the COVID-19 Pandemic has caused. At St. Augustine Health Ministries we pride ourselves on bettering the quality of life for our residents and our Pop-Up Spa Volunteers play a major role in improving the residents' overall well-being.

Pop-Up Spa Responsibilities include:

• File, buff and paint residents' nails (no clipping of nails)
• Gentle hand massage/apply lotion
• Helping the residents to feel pampered
• Take Glamour Shot with facility camera (props available) for resident to keep

Volunteer Qualifications:

• Caring and outgoing personality - attentive to each resident you are working with
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Must pass background check (done at St. Augustine at no charge)
• Take TB test (only if working 10+ hours /month. Free and available at the Health Campus.

Pop-Up-Spa Volunteers can help out as a one-time event, or commit to a returning for an ongoing volunteer opportunity.
This opportunity is ideal for groups!
Groups under age18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteers can choose to work with nursing home or assisted living residents (or both!)
