Campground Host - Stevens Creek

The campground host is stationed at the Stevens Creek campground in Curecanti National Recreation Area near Gunnison, Colorado. Hosts work 32 hours per week and are managed by the National Park Service. The hours may be divided between a couple. Uniform shirts are provided and required. Shorter length seasons will be considered. Hosts are front-line National Park Service ambassadors who provide a welcoming environment to visitors.
Stevens Creek campground is located on US 50, ten miles west of Gunnison, CO, and on the eastern end of Blue Mesa Reservoir. There is no visitor center at Stevens Creek, so camp hosts are often the front line for visitor questions. Host site amenities include 50A electric, water, sewer, landline telephone service, and limited cell phone reception. There are 53 camp sites on this windy, exposed campground without trees, but with nice views of surrounding mesas.
