K-12 students social emotional health and learning has been adversely affected by the disruptions caused by the pandemic. The presence of a Therapy Dog in a learning environment can help students focus by lessoning their anxiety. Please consider volunteering with your dog if he/she enjoys children and teens.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Volunteer in Paradise program in the Paradise Valley Unified School District is to increase student achievement by providing instructional assistance and the individual attention of dedicated, high-quality volunteers while also promoting positive school and community partnerships.
Description
VIP volunteers provide one-on-one and small group instruction on campus and online to children in grades K-8. Volunteers are paired with teachers based on their interests and schedules, and receive the training needed to become effective, confident tutors.
