- Purpose This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Services to Armed Forces (SAF) department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The Military Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN) Caregiver Lead Trainer will assist MVCN with training caregivers in one of three roles within MVCN: Mentor, Facilitator or Moderator.
- Responsibilities
The MVCN Caregiver Lead Trainer will work under the supervision of the MVCN Team and provide support for all MVCN training. The trainer will be responsible for tracking registrations and outreach to caregiver volunteers to assist with engagement. The MVCN Lead Trainer will also co-facilitate trainings to caregivers.
- Qualifications
Required:
- Experience using Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current connection to the military or veteran community
- Comfortable speaking in front of small groups
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
Preferred
- Experience training and supporting learning environments
- Experience with Department of Defense (DoD), Veterans Affairs (VA), and veterans service organizations
- Length of Appointment
Minimum 1 year commitment, renewable
