Monumental Impact

Image_202201101449

In our space high school students have an opportunity to explore their interests in technology and engineering either through our social enterprise's internships, our Open Builds or through supported programs in D38 like Bearbotics FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 4068 and our FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) teams (#s 19541, 19970 and 20771). Mentors can help students with their projects and / or share projects that they are doing at work or as a hobby to encourage their interests in these fields.

Our Open Builds are currently on Fridays from 3:30-6pm. Team practices vary, but during Spring's Build Season from January 8th through end of March, teams will be in our space in the evenings all week, with the exception of Wednesday and Sunday. Internships sessions vary.

Mission Statement

To enable and support the growing talent and passion of high school students in Technology, Engineering and Entrepreneurship with Experiences and Community.

Description

We were founded in January 2020. We have a MOU with Lewis Palmer School District 38 for educational outcomes and use of 3500 square footage of space at the Grace Best Facility. We have a shared space with Bearbotics FRC Team 4068. We provide internships for our social enterprise, open builds, network events, industry tours, mentoring opportunities and exhibitions. We have a Board of Directors with two year terms.

Our Vision is to provide a shared space with the equipment, resources and a mentoring community of support that provides opportunities for industry experiences for individual students and the capabilities to enable student programs in technology, engineering and entrepreneurship. We are open to hosting businesses and their work-based learning opportunities in our space to provide students more experiences.
