Educate. Radiate. Elevate. (E.R.E.) is looking for Fundraising Committee members! You can offer invaluable support by ideating and implementing fundraising strategies-all while playing a valuable role in improving the lives of our most vulnerable youth. A strong education is truly life-changing-not just for the child receiving learning support, but also for their family, community, and society as a whole.
About Us
Educate. Radiate. Elevate. (E.R.E.) is a nonprofit operating in Illinois and Texas, formed during the pandemic to address the growing achievement gap due to school closures. Our purpose is to strengthen the educational achievement of underserved students by providing them with high-quality instruction from experienced tutors who will assist them with academics, enrichment, test prep, and essential life skills. Our mission is to minimize disproportionate learning losses for low-income students, ensuring economic, social, and emotional stability for the youth served, their families, and their communities.
Requirements
You will be a welcome addition to the team if you:
- Are passionate about education, equity, and serving the community
- Have experience in marketing, sales, finance, and/or fundraising
- Are eager to develop and implement fundraising ideas at the local and state level
- Are an outgoing self-starter who can work collaboratively in a remote environment
- Are willing to contribute in creative ways utilizing your expertise, skills, and network
Duties(Approximately 5-10 hours per month)
- Drive increased community awareness of E.R.E.’s mission and program
- Research and facilitate connections with potential donors
- Collaborate on funding proposals and directly contact potential funders
- Develop and implement fundraising campaigns and events
- Provide the E.R.E. Board and staff with strategic proposals and counsel on long-term funding and sustainability strategies
- Assist with recruitment efforts
Commitments
- Participate in regular online committee meetings at least every other month
- Regularly complete specific KPIs related to organizational objectives
- Maintain involvement for at least one year
