Our nonprofit was founded in Nov 2020 to provide high-quality tutoring for underserved students. We have grown tremendously since then! Now we need to improve our strategic planning to support future growth. Specifically, we are looking for help with: Improving our purpose, mission, and vision statements to connect with our WHY Understanding our WHAT (with a SWOC assessment) Improving administration, operational, and program goals and objectives Utilizing our current software (Trello, Google Drive, Slack) and suggesting new software as needed Improving our fundraising efforts, including strategies for how to identify our ideal audience, establish clear fundraising goals and objectives, set up donor engagement pipelines, measure and track the achievement of goals, and train relevant staff Beyond creating a strategic plan, we would most benefit from someone who can also lay out actionable steps our staff can follow to implement the plan over the next 6+ months. Someone with a background in nonprofit administration would be ideal for this position.

Volunteers make up a major vein of a nonprofit organization. As a new nonprofit, we want to make sure that we are bringing the right volunteers onto our team and that we are empowering them to be successful. A Volunteer Manager will help find, onboard, and engage our volunteers. This will become a paid position once we receive funding for it.

I am looking for a skilled volunteer with marketing experience to review the content I have written for volunteer positions, partnership propositions, and donor engagement to make them more appealing. I have a tendency to over-inform and I have trouble speaking directly to who I am trying to reach in their language. I believe this is the reason these programs have not received as much interest as they should. Our nonprofit has been launched and now we need the community (volunteers, partners, and donors) to be involved! Our tutoring services are much needed and proven to be effective - but our marketing approach is lacking. For the volunteer positions, I have already created a page on our website, written up a detailed job description, created a couple of fliers, and posted the job in hundreds of locations. But we have only gotten one volunteer. I think the messaging needs help. For the partnership proposals, I have already created a page on our website with an interest form and written up a detailed description of the proposition. But we have only gotten 3 organizations to commit. I think the messaging needs help here too. For the donor engagement, I have created approx 10 different campaigns to engage donors (i.e. through correspondence from our volunteers, through our CRM, through emails to current and past clients of my for-profit tutoring company, through a Get and Give Program for my Directors, etc.). I have not launched these yet, as I want to make sure the messaging is clear and engaging first. Since this is our first year of operation, we are relying heavily on private donations - so I want to make my correspondence count! Basically, I am seeking a marketing professional to review this content and make suggestions for improvements and additions.
