What volunteers will do:

Each volunteer is paired one-on-one with a reader who is in K-2nd grade for weekly 45-minute virtual reading sessions. During each reading session, you will read virtual (provided) books, physical books, or play fun literacy games with your reader. Your readers earn book bucks for each book or game they complete and can exchange those Book Bucks for cool prizes! Traveling Stories then sends the prize to the reader's school or shipping address provided!

When:

Once weekly virtual reading sessions starting the week of January 24th - March 21st, 2022!

Wednesdays at 1:45, 3:30, 4:30, or 5:30 pm PT

Thursdays 3:30, 4:30, or 5:30 pm PT

There will be 9 week-long program periods throughout 2022!

About the organization

Traveling Stories empowers children to achieve their dreams through child-led literacy support. We aspire to help every child find their own personal love for reading and become avid readers by the 4th grade! We accomplish our goal by encouraging children to choose the books and subjects THEY want to read and providing toy incentives that are earned through challenging their own reading abilities!
