Have you thought about helping in hospice but are not sure if you could do it emotionally? Have you wondered how sad it would be? Have you wondered about how it would be to help someone at end of life? A good way to find out the answers to these questions is to meet with our hospice Volunteer Coordinator for an informational meeting to learn more about what our volunteers do and see if this would be a good fit. If it is, a comprehensive training is provided along with on-going supervision to ensure the appropriateness of this experience. Volunteers can read to, play games with, and most importantly, do life review and reminiscing - hearing and helping putting life stories and experiences into perspective, just by virtue of being present.

Description
Assisteo provides end of life care to those in need of those services. Our staff includes our Medical Director, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Chaplains, Social Workers, Veterans Advocate, Volunteer Coordinator, and Volunteers. What makes our hospice one that stands out from others is the quality of staff, quality of care, and deep and abiding respect for the process that our patients and their families are going through. Patients and families are key and most important component of our treatment team.
