ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service

Campground Host Duties: Volunteers welcome campers, provide national forest information, assist them in checking into their sites. Hosts are also asked to clean restrooms as needed, open and close the area gate each day, perform minor maintenance, and misc. projects as necessary. Campground Hosts are asked to work five days a week for a total of approximately 25-30 hours a week. Hosts are provided two days to enjoy the area and relax. Duties can vary depending on individual preferences and abilities and are agreed to in writing prior to the Host's arrival.

Forest Service campgrounds on the Lee District offer campground hosts electric, water, sewer and telephone hookups. Also available are flush toilets with hot-water showers, parking spurs that can accommodate RV's up to approximately 36-40 feet and a sewage dump station. Host positions are available from May through October.
