ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Bandy Creek Campground provides a place that is just on the edge of being remote, yet offering modern conveniences of flush toilets, hot showers, water and electric hookups. There are both tent and RV camping as well as two group camps. The campsites are spacious and some provide plenty of shade.

The park offers boundless recreational opportunities such as mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting, fishing, and hunting. A horse stable is located near the campground as well as a swimming pool (open on weekends and holidays), volleyball court, and playgrounds.

Summer is hot and humid, fall is stunningly beautiful with color, winter is usually mild with occasionally snow accumulation and spring brings beautiful wildflowers.
