The camaraderie of veterans is an undeniable and extraordinary truth. Veterans at end of life, in hospice, have specific needs that best met by other members of the military. If you are a veteran or active duty, please consider being a part of this experience by volunteering in hospice. Volunteers spend time in life review and reminiscing and being present with and supporting the veteran during this final mission. We know that many times this is when veterans remember what they experienced in the military and can benefit from being able to share these with a fellow veteran. The process of life review allows them to put what they experienced and how it affected their lives into perspective. And the veterans who volunteer are given the opportunity to learn about themselves and the depth of their commitment through this experience.
Training is provided along with supervision that supports the work that is being done.
COVID vaccinations are required.
Assisteo Hospice has offices in the greater Phoenix and Prescott areas.
