Provide remote or in-person Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) for the Quincy Community Service Program. Gain gratification from helping low income individuals and families file taxes & get tax refunds. No prior experience necessary, training will be provided.

Two types of volunteers needed for Quincy Community Action Program (QCAP):

  • Client Services Volunteer for client intake & document collection without working on tax returns.
  • Tax Return Volunteer meets clients 1-1 via Zoom, phone calls and possible in-person consultation.

Work directly with clients from February-April 2024 for 3 hour shifts, once per week.

FULL remote volunteering is possible in both positions.

Training: In January 2024 all volunteers will receive 6 hours of training.
Tax return volunteers will receive an additional 6-9 hours of training (all training will happen in 3-hr sessions).

Norfolk County RSVP is seeking Norfolk County, MA residents, age 55 +. Please contact us if you are interested and meet the qualifications below.

Qualifications
● No prior experience necessary, training will be provided
● Solid written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to use Zoom, Google Hangouts and other video conferencing software a plus
● Foreign language skills are not required, but highly valued (Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish,
Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Arabic, and Vietnamese are languages often spoken by our clients)

Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
