Welcome Ambassador
The first point of contact, the Welcome Ambassador is stationed at the hospital entrance to welcome, direct, and engage patients and visitors. Ambassadors act as wayfinders and greeters ensuring that whole people-centered care starts from the get-go.

Job Duties:

  • Make connections with patients and visitors warmly and promptly
  • Build positive rapport with patients and visitors and asks questions to assess how best to help
  • Line bust for guest services and registration staff
  • Sanitize high touch areas in the hospital vestibule

What type of volunteer will be most successful?

  • Greeters must possess a friendly and positive attitude
  • Adept at smizing (smiling with your eyes)
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and handling multiple requests at once
  • Able to learn thorough knowledge of hospital

There will be a chair available to sit during down times, but the expectation is that Greeters will be standing/moving most of the time.
