Whether you are greeting patients and visitors to the hospital, interacting with patients in the Emergency Department, or assisting in the Gift Shop, you leave a lasting impression. This is a great opportunity for former healthcare workers, who miss the hustle and bustle of hospitals and patient interaction. General requirements: Complete online orientation and post quiz Clean background check (18 and over) Health immunization test Annual shot (exemptions made on a case by case situation) Work a minimum of one three hour shift a week and commit to at least 60 hours Benefits: Flexible schedule. The focus of Emergency Department Volunteers is to provide comfort and service to Emergency Department patients and their families keeping inline with our Commitment to Care standards. They serve as the go between for patients, families, and guest services and ED staff, ensuring that the patients needs are met. Duties/Responsibilities: Provides excellent customer service at all times. Treats every person with respect, concern, and hospitality regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sociological background. Assists in providing a caring and comforting atmosphere for patients and families. Make rounds on patients and families in the rooms/waiting area seeing that needs are met. Assists guest services and ED staff by communicating with patients and families, running errands, giving directions, assisting with transportation of patients. This is a great experience for volunteers interested in learning more about the medical field. Volunteers will gain understanding into the inner-workings of Hospitals and Emergency Departments.

Works in collaboration with Guest Services staff to greet and escort visitors and patients coming to the hospital. With an eye for customer service, volunteer provides a caring and comforting atmosphere for visitors and patients.
