Gentiva Hospice is looking for meal preparation volunteers to prepare meals to bereaved families of hospice patients/veterans. How you serve and how often is completely up to you! Here are a few examples of how our Meal Preparation Volunteers serve:
- Assist with identifying dietary restrictions of bereaved family members
- Purchasing food and materials needed for meal preparation. (SouthernCare will help with covering the cost of needed items)
- Preparing meals for bereaved family member of hospice patients/veterans
- Deliver meals to bereaved families (preferred, but not required)
Our patients and families need help now more than ever during these uncertain times. Our volunteers are here to help meet non-medical needs of our patients, their families, and our Gentiva staff. We are called to be a light in the darkness.
***Vaccination for COVID-19 is NOT required to volunteer with Gentiva Hospice!***
