Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice

Become a companionship visit volunteer with Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice. Simply spending time with individuals in conversation, playing a game, listening to music, watching TV together, reading to them or even just holding their hand can provide just that caring that all crave. Visits can also provide time that the families can get out for an hour and know their loved one is not alone.

"They may forget what you said....but they will never forget how you made them feel." ~Carl W. Buechner

This is especially true of spending time with hospice clients. We enter this world to fanfare and celebration and sadly many spend much of their time alone as they prepare to leave this world. An hour visit every week or every other week can mean a world of difference in how that person feels. We want everyone to feel loved and valued. If you are interested in providing companionship visits please contact us!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide adults with caring and quality services toward the enhancement of physical, mental and spiritual well-being consistent with the Christian Gospel.

Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ohio Living, is one of Ohio’s premier providers of home health and hospice services, recognized for quality, innovation, and a positive work environment.

Hospice is a special kind of caring. Hospice care is patient and family centered and seeks to provide support and comfort to those facing a life limiting illness. Volunteers play a large role in this effort by sharing their skills and interests in a manner that enriches the quality of life for those they serve.

Medicare also recognizes the importance of volunteers in the delivery of hospice care. Medicare requires that hospice utilize volunteers from their local community to augment the care the hospice agency provides. Nationally, over 100,000 people serve as hospice volunteers and give millions of hours of their time to serve terminally ill patients and their families.
