Avalon Hospice is looking for compassionate, optimistic individuals that are interested in providing support to patients and their families during end of life. Our volunteers will be matched with patients based on the patients wants and the volunteers skill set and knowledge. Avalon Hospice volunteers offer a variety of activities such as companionship, respite for caregivers, music, arts, reminiscence, running errands and much more.

Description
Avalon Hospice is a hospice service that provides care for individuals and their families at end of life. We provide medical, spiritual, and social work support in a compassionate and respectful fashion. Our volunteers have the humbling opportunity to support and create relationships with our patients through conversation, music, arts, pet therapy and many other modalities.

- Time commitment will be decided by the volunteer and volunteer coordinator based on the needs of the volunteer and the patients. If volunteers are assigned to a patient, they must be able to commit to the visits scheduled with that patient.
- Volunteers must pass a drug screening and attend orientations and training.
