Caring Hospice Services is seeking compassionate individuals to visit patients and families in long-term care facilities and private homes in communities throughout Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester counties.
Volunteers visit once a week to offer companionship and a social outlet to patients through simple conversation, active listening, playing games, a comforting presence, reading, and more.
Schedule is flexible and volunteers give 2-4 hours a month.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Age of 18
- Six-month commitment
- Covid-19 Vaccine and Booster
- Availability on weekdays or weekend mornings/afternoons
Requirements (paid for by Caring Hospice):
- Criminal background/DMV Checks
- Volunteer training
- General physical
- Tuberculosis test
- Titers to check immunity to Rubella and Rubeola (immunity not a requirement to volunteer)
