Project Helping is a Denver, Colorado-based 501 (c)(3). Our mission is to improve mental wellness through accessible experiences that create purpose and connection. We do this through volunteering, as research shows that giving back to the community is great for mental wellness. Essentially, we partner with local nonprofits, discuss what their volunteer needs are, and present those as opportunities to our volunteer base.

We currently partner with over 30 nonprofits in the Denver metro area, and our volunteer interest is continuously growing. Specifically, we seek recurring (usually monthly) opportunities for groups of 4 - 12 that have these three components: Community, Respect, and Meaning.

We've discovered an incredibly philanthropic community in San Diego, filled with amazing people who want to give back and help others while taking care of their mental wellness. We currently only have one partner in your wonderful city, San Diego Rescue Mission, for a small total of 6 volunteer spaces per month.Unfortunately, we cannot offer more events within the SD community until we have Kynd Leaders available.

A Kynd Leader is a Project Helping ambassador that typically leads one event per month. We here at Project Helping still do all the heavy lifting- Kynd Leaders are there to check folks in, answer questions, and serve as the go-between for the nonprofit and the Project Helping volunteers at the event. They ensure our goal of community is being met!

If this is of interest to you, please check out projecthelping.org/kyndleaders to learn more and get started on the process. If there is a particular nonprofit in San Diego that you would like to lead groups at, please let us know!

This is an opportunity to be a part of the start of something with great meaning and impact! We do, however, respect and understand your decision not to participate if this is not a project you can take on at this time.
