Many veterans and their families suffered setbacks due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. From job loss and financial distress to evictions. The Mesa Veterans Resource Center wants to help ensure that struggling families are warm and fed this winter, while also connecting them with necessary recourses to continue thriving. On Thursday, December 9th we are passing out blankets, sleeping bags, food and hygiene kits to veterans in need. We need volunteers to help pass out items and keep things organized.

HELENS HOPE CHEST helps foster children with their basic needs, giving children a similar experience of shopping in a consignment store. although the clothing is gently used, children in foster care are given the opportunity to select styles and colors they like. 16 individual rooms accommodate the basic needs of infants, toddlers, children, teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care.
